Make your neighborhood worth showing off! Compost for Brooklyn, located on Newkirk Avenue and East 8th Street in Brooklyn, is excited to announce two upcoming street gardening workdays starting on April 15th at 10 AM! Come spend a few hours with neighbors, make new friends, and help beautify the streetscape. The final spring workday will take place May 20th, also at the Compost for Brooklyn garden. There’s more: These workdays will culminate with a tree giveaway on June 3rd at 11 AM!

Compost for Brooklyn is a volunteer-run organization committed to composting organic waste, restoring urban ecosystems, and sharing knowledge in our local communities and beyond.
